We’re supporting a leading global food & drinks business in their search for a

Director of Sustainability Communications , a strategic storyteller who can bring to life the company’s commitments to people, planet, and purpose.

This is a pivotal role at the intersection of

communications and sustainability , shaping how the organisation defines, delivers, and shares its ESG journey both internally and externally.

The role

As Director of Sustainability Communications, you’ll :

Develop and deliver the global sustainability communications strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate brand and ESG priorities.

Partner closely with sustainability, brand, and corporate affairs teams to shape key narratives around climate, packaging, sourcing, and community impact.

Lead engagement campaigns that inspire colleagues and stakeholders — from farm to boardroom.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on issues management, reporting transparency, and thought leadership.

Oversee the creation of sustainability reports, media materials, and digital content that clearly articulate progress and impact.

About you

You’ll be an experienced

communications leader

with a strong grasp of

sustainability and ESG , ideally gained within the consumer goods, retail, or food & beverage sector. You’ll bring :

10+ years’ experience in corporate or sustainability communications.

Proven success building multi-channel storytelling strategies that drive engagement and trust.

Deep understanding of global sustainability frameworks and stakeholder expectations.

Exceptional influencing skills and the ability to operate at a global, matrixed level.
