A Telemetry Registered Nurse with recent experience is needed for a rewarding 13-week contract assignment in Kansas City, KS. This role offers 36 hours per week working night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, including every other weekend rotation. You will serve at a modern acute care medical center specializing in cardiac care, providing critical support to patients with cardiac conditions and telemetry monitoring.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care on the Telemetry Unit, utilizing skills in cardiac drip management and post-procedural care involving TR Bands.
- Administer and monitor cardiac medications such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem, and medication initiation protocols including Tikosyn and Sotalol.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Float to various acute care units as necessary, adapting to diverse patient care needs.
- Participate in orientation and training on Epic EMR and facility-specific procedures.
- Work holiday shifts as required by unit coverage, including Christmas Eve / Day and New Years Eve / Day.
