Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Physician Assistant for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts on Jan 2, 2026, with orientation followed by clinical work beginning Jan 5, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 6 : 00pm, providing day shifts in a dynamic oncology setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage care for patients with cancer and other benign or malignant tumors and diseasesPromote health and protection from disease within the scope of supervising physicianPerform arterial puncture and blood gas samplingProvide debridement and general care for superficial wounds and minor superficial surgical proceduresImplement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions as appropriateInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities, including laboratory tests, medications, hemodynamic monitoring, IV fluids, EMG, ECG, and radiologic studies such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, and bone scansPerform incision and drainage of superficial abscessesPerform urinary bladder catheterizationConduct venous punctures for blood sampling, cultures, and IV catheterizationComplete death certificate protocolsRemove arterial catheters, central venous catheters, and chest tubesPerform fine needle aspiration and punch biopsy of skinAdditional Information
Must hold current New York PA licenseRequired certifications : Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Experience in radiation oncology preferredBenefits
