Must-Have : Candidates must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate.
Description :
ICU Registered Nurses provide care for critically ill patients.
Candidates must possess skills in telemetry and ventilator management.
Utilization of EKG monitoring is essential.
Floating to medical units is required with a ratio of 1 : 4 outside of the intensive care unit.
Weekend and holiday shifts may be necessary based on unit needs.
Patient assignments may include a higher ratio when included patients are boarded.
PPE and infection prevention protocols must be followed strictly.
Nurses will manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula devices.
Responsibilities include assisting with chest tube insertion and central line placement.
Management of vasoactive infusions and sedation protocols is necessary.
Nurses will be required to interpret arterial blood gases and manage laboratory tests.
Patients may present with acute respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest conditions, and more.
The position demands thorough assessment and monitoring of acute conditions.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is required for optimal patient care.
All employees must receive the flu vaccine, with no exemptions allowed.
