Radiologic Tech Pract

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist performs radiological procedures on patients in a physician practice office and processes the films / images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Job Responsibilities

• Adjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with radiation safety.
• Perform imaging studies that produce quality images.
• Be attentive to scheduling and work within allotted time provided for procedures.
• Explain x-ray procedures with patients and collect data for physician assessment. Position patient for exam / procedure. Determine proper film for x-ray. Process film.
• Maintain radiographic area in a clean safe and orderly well-stocked condition.
• Assess patients needs and determine appropriate intervention(s).
• Perform necessary clerical functions check in / out.
• Supervise students as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
