Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Baptist Urgent Care is seeking compassionate Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide outstanding care to patients.

JOB SUMMARY :

As a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality medical care to patients of all ages with varying health conditions. Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while ensuring exceptional standards of care and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Provide friendly and accessible care for all individuals seeking health services.
• Lead and support during emergencies while ensuring a calming presence for patients.
• Adapt to varying fast-paced and high-stress environments, including long hours and frequent interactions with others.
• Perform medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for conditions in primary care, urgent care, and occupational health.
• Conduct medical procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, and abscess treatments.
• Establish and monitor appropriate levels of medical care for clinic patients.
• Oversee on-site laboratory and x-ray services when applicable.
• Maintain clinical competency and collaborate with leadership to uphold medical policy and standards.
• Engage in the development and improvement of medical practices for patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Participate in training programs for healthcare personnel.
• Recommend opportunities for growth and enhancement of services.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to staff education programs.
• Represent the clinic at meetings and events as needed.
• Provide guidance to medical staff to support best practices and patient satisfaction.

Our full-time team members typically work a rotating 30-40 hour / week schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled as needed.

ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE :

Baptist Urgent Care operates nine locations across Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas as part of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent urgent care providers in the Southeast. Our centers offer a range of services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care.
