Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Emergency Room Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room experience License : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications : NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have : Must live 50 miles away; must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN; must be willing to take 1 : 5 patient ratios; Cerner experience required Description : The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that treats a wide variety of patients. Emergency Room nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from urgent care (simple procedures) to psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care / trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience.
