Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting with at least 1 year of experience and a TX license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a large acute care hospital with 450 beds and a census of approximately 360
  • Services provided across 7 floors including ortho, neuro, oncology, post-op, med surg, and ICU (medical, cardiac, surgical)
  • Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • Collaborative environment with 8-10 PTs and 6-8 PTAs daily, working alongside OT, ST, and case management
  • Trauma level 3 hospital
  • EPIC charting experience is preferred
  • Position involves working closely within a multidisciplinary therapy team
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted
  • No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved and no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
  • First-time travelers are considered for this position
  • Scrub or dress code details are not specified

    • Requirements

  • Valid TX Physical Therapy license required (will accept pending license if applicable)
  • Minimum of 1 year recent acute care PT experience
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of patient populations including ortho, neuro, oncology, med surg, and ICU
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Locals within 50 miles are not eligible
