In this role, you will :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures, adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Assess patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and collaborate with the nursing team to develop tailored Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.A strong understanding of quality concepts and a demonstrated ability to apply improvement tools and techniques.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
