The Neuropsychology Program, Psychology Division, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Children's Hospital Psychology Division are pleased to announce the immediate availability of a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank at our Houston Medical Center Campus. Clinical emphasis is flexible, though experience in Neurology and Epilepsy, including Epilepsy Surgery, is preferred.
The neuropsychologist in this role will work in partnership with subspecialty medical teams to serve pediatric patients treated for a range of chronic and acute medical conditions. Referring medical subspecialty partners include Neurology, Rehabilitation and Traumatic Brain Injury, Endocrinology, and Hematology/Oncology among others. Clinical services will primarily include targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, consultation, limited inpatient evaluation, and cognitive screening.
Baylor has an exceptionally strong commitment to its educational mission, and this clearly factors into consideration for promotion. This faculty neuropsychology position will involve teaching and supervision of neuropsychology post-doctoral fellows within our APPCN-member fellowship program and of interns in our APA- approved internship program. In addition, all BCM faculty members are expected to contribute to the College's academic mission. Both independent and collaborative research/scholarship opportunities are available through partnership with other Division members, as well as our subspecialty partners.
