What Youll Do


As a Server at Himes Breakfast House, you are the face of our brand delivering friendly, efficient service and creating the kind of hospitality that turns first-time guests into regulars.

Before the Shift

• Prepare the dining room for service set tables, stock side stations, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.
  
  
• Complete opening side work (brewing tea, portioning condiments, prepping lemons, etc.).
  
  
• Review the days specials and menu updates.
  
  

During the Shift

• Greet guests warmly within one minute of seating and introduce yourself.
  
  
• Guide guests through the menu and use suggestive selling to enhance their experience.
  
  
• Enter all orders accurately in the POS system.
  
  
• Ensure every dish meets Himes standards for presentation, temperature, and quality before serving.
  
  
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
  
  
• Pre-bus tables, refill drinks, and anticipate guest needs before they ask.
  
  
• Handle guest questions and concerns with composure and care, following Himes recovery standards.
  
  
• Assist teammates with seating, to-go orders, and running food during busy shifts.
  
  

End of Shift

• Accurately close out checks, handle cash and credit transactions responsibly.
  
  
• Complete closing side work: restocking, rolling silverware, and cleaning stations.
  
  
• Tip out support staff (Bussers, Runners, Bartenders) appropriately.
  
  
• Check out with a Manager before leaving and complete all assigned duties.
  
  

What Were Looking For

• 18 years or older (required to serve alcohol)
  
  
• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
  
• Previous serving or food runner experience a plus but well train friendly, reliable people!
  
  
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and genuine love for hospitality
  
  
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while keeping your cool and your smile
