Overview
Attention human B cell immunologists and / or genetics / genomics expert : the at the Benaroya Research Institute has an open postdoc position for a funded project pertaining to lupus genetic risk . The Ray lab intersects immunology and genetics to define genetic mechanisms that drive risk for autoimmune diseases such as lupus, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis, among others. The lab performs functional genomic approaches in immune cells to identify genetic variants, genes, and cis-regulatory regions that likely promote disease risk and clarifies their mechanisms using human and mouse cellular and molecular immunological approaches. Dr. Ray has affiliate appointments at the University of Washington Departments of Immunology and Genome Sciences.
Responsibilities
B cell immunologist and / or genetics / genomics expert : will focus on performing high throughput CRISPR screens in human primary B cells from lupus patients and healthy controls to define genetic variants, cis-regulatory regions, and genes that drive lupus and their mechanisms.
