Job Description

Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced LPN

Minimum of 1 year of experience required.

This is a PART-TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability 2-3 days a week between the hours of 7 : 30 AM- 4 PM or when the last patients leave. Located in Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities :

A Day in the Life of an LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse :

Taking and monitoring patient vital signs

Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing

Administering medication

Communicating changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members

Maintaining accurate patient records

Collecting specimen samples when needed

Taking an active part in patient care planning

Overseeing Certified Nursing Assistants and training

Preparing patients for transfers or discharge

Assisting in medical procedures

Managing emergency medical situations

Requirements for the LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse-GI :

Required : legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required : Valid Virginia LPN License or valid multi-state LPN licensure

Required : BLS

Required : Experience in conscious sedation required. IV skills are a plus pre / post endo nurse experience a plus!

Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen

Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required : Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology.

Required : Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism.

Benefits :

$30+ per hour (Depending on your level of experience and interview).
