Our client is an AI-driven insurance technology company transforming how insurers, agents, and customers operate through intelligent automation and data-powered decisioning. They are building a modern, cloud-native data platform from the ground up to support large-scale integrations, real-time analytics, and AI models across the insurance lifecycle.
They are seeking a Data Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will play a key part in designing and building the core data environment that powers AI products, reporting, and complex partner integrations. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to turn raw data into reliable, scalable systems that directly support production AI use cases.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data-focused roles
Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and building robust ETL / ELT pipelines
Experience designing systems that support large-scale data integrations
Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, or similar)
Familiarity with distributed data and streaming systems (Spark, Kafka, Flink, or equivalent)
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred)

Daily Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines that power AI-driven insurance products
Design and evolve the core data architecture supporting analytics, machine learning, and external integrations
Work on complex inbound and outbound data integrations with partners, carriers, and internal systems
Optimize data models and pipelines for performance, reliability, and data quality
Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and AI teams to deliver production-ready data solutions
Monitor pipeline health, implement observability, and ensure high data integrity across systems
