Platform Engineer

A company is looking for a Platform Engineer : Storage to join a remote team focused on building core infrastructure for compute markets.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and manage production Ceph clusters, including hardware selection and network architecture

Build APIs for safe, near-zero-downtime live migrations of stateful workloads

Develop storage-orchestration services using Go, gRPC, and ScyllaDB, and create foundational storage primitives for advanced platform features

Required Qualifications :

Deep experience in building distributed systems with a focus on fault-tolerance and scalability

Production experience with distributed block storage systems like Ceph or strong understanding of storage-cluster design

Knowledge of modern filesystems such as Ext4, ZFS, and Btrfs, with bonus points for next-gen systems

Strong intuition for system longevity and lifecycle management

Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take ownership of projects in an early-stage environment
