Introduction
County Administration's Office of Public Affairs and Communications is looking for a Senior Broadcast and Video Production Specialist to join our team. Our office is responsible for countywide internal and external communications and constituent services programs that connect Loudoun County residents, businesses, and communities with information about their government and its services. These responsibilities include producing live public meetings that are televised and live streamed online, as well as programing the Loudoun County Government Cable Channel, which airs on Comcast and Verizon FiOS. This position is responsible for managing the televising and recording of all official government meetings, including Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meetings, utilizing television production equipment.

Job Summary
The Senior Broadcast and Video Production Specialist is responsible for all aspects of Loudoun County's cable channel programing, which primarily is comprised of live public meetings. This position serves as producer and technical director during live meetings, and ensures all public meetings are recorded for the record.
The Senior Broadcast and Video Production Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
The successful Senior Broadcast and Video Production Specialist candidate will have any combination of education and experience in the fields of communication, video and television production, television studio operations, and / or television programing. Hands-on experience in live television production, including as a technical director and experience in computer / web-based television production systems is valuable. Also helpful is any knowledge and skills directly associated with professional video production, including camera operations and video editing software, such as Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut. Knowledge and skills with field and studio lighting and audio, as well as television broadcast recording, playback and programming systems.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; three (3) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Successful candidates will undergo background checks as required. May be required to work during the evenings or on weekends. This position requires working 24 / 7 in case of County emergencies and possibly at alternate locations and performing alternated duties.
