Machine Operator

Entry Level Position : Glass fabrication is an awesome craft to learn. You will learn how glass moves through our plant and how to safely handle glass while maintaining an effective pace. Our plant is packed with employees and machinery that make amazing products from shower doors, deck railings, insulated glass units and more!

• Position glass in machinery or on tables for tempering and hand tool use
• Load and unload glass manually or utilize lifting cranes, harp carts, and a-frames for safe movement
• Inspect glass to carry out our high-quality standard
• Communicate with other employees throughout the day as well as following through with shift employee expectations
• Monitor glass moving through equipment to ensure glass is moving efficiently
• Utilize bar code readers, calipers, tape measure, and other tools to ensure quality standards and identify any defects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Employees at OBE are expected to have regular and predictable attendance, work independently with little direct supervision, aptitude to learn and understand and willingness to cross-train in other areas as required.
