Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a CA license and the ability to float between critical care units.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Expected patient ratio is 1 : 2
  • Floating required between like critical care units and potentially to other nearby facilities
  • May occasionally float to another nearby hospital location
  • Patient population consists of adult critical care cases
  • Uses Epic as the electronic medical record system
  • Weekend shifts required, with frequency likely exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
  • All RTO must be requested at the time of application; no additional time off requests accepted post-offer
  • Free parking is provided
  • Floating to units within the state is expected and refusal may result in termination
  • Team-oriented ICU environment with regular support
  • Minimum of two recent supervisory references required for consideration

  • Active CA RN license required at the time of submission
  • Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
