Graphic Designer Print Production Design & Prepress Specialist

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Preflight and fix customer files, setup and impose, rip to all offset and digital presses and printers
• Maintain shop standard pdf workflow (Adobe plugins), schedule work, establish priorities, and complete all jobs promptly
• Perform all work required for printing all paper projects using digital presses, including design, file preparation, machine preparation, and maintenance
• Perform all work required for printing all banner and signage products, including design, file preparation, machine preparation, and maintenance
• Create files for all variable data print projects, using Fusion Pro or other software packages
• Develop and maintain shop color management systems – setup / maintain color profiles, calibrate monitors and printers as needed
• Help maintain customer online ordering websites and manage workflow for orders from those sites, including downloading files, imposing, ripping to print
• Perform database management and preparation work required for Mailing Services projects
• Create artwork files for print, using color, type, illustration, photography, and other design techniques
• Actively communicate with the client to understand and deliver design material to their satisfaction
• Communicate courteously with clients either by phone, email, or at the front counter to take a job order or clarify the scope of a project
• Assist with the installation of signage projects
• Prepare products for shipping or deliver projects to customer

Qualifications We Are Looking For:

• Excellent project and time management skills, ability to prioritize workflow
• Ability to communicate ideas visually, orally, and in writing to coworkers and clients
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to use available resources to solve issues
• Consistent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of Pantone, CMYK, and RGB color spaces
• Self-disciplined and organized
• Able to function well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Can manage multiple projects at a time, work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of Prepress concepts such as imposition, color separation, preflight, and PDF workflow
• Must be proficient in both MAC & PC
• Adobe Creative Suite experience required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Knowledge of Enfocus PitStop Pro, Quite Imposing, Fusion Pro, and Acrobat preferred
• 3-5 years of Print production design and/or prepress experience MUST
