California Licensed Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to ensure accurate medical coding and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Review and validate medical codes for accuracy and compliance with coding systems

Provide coding guidance and support to clinicians and other departments

Conduct coding audits and quality reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred

Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification required

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive medical coding experience in home health, hospice, or related settings

Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software systems
