Project Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Project Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to important construction projects while advancing your accounting career. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial construction accounting and demonstrate expertise in managing project-related financial processes.

Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain compliance for job, customer, and subcontractor setups.
• Oversee the full-cycle accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle lien filings, waivers, and bonds with precision and attention to detail.
• Submit contractor prequalification documentation to meet project requirements.
• Manage city registration for mechanical and plumbing licenses, ensuring compliance.
• Support the Accounting Manager and Controller in preparing for annual audits. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction accounting.
• Solid foundation in accounting principles through a four-year degree in accounting / finance or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate Excel skills preferred.
• Familiarity with Timberline / Sage software is highly desirable.
• All candidates are required to complete pre-employment requirements prior to starting work.
