Exciting Opportunity for Licensed Physicians in General Medicine – KY Locum Role

Join a dedicated team committed to serving our nation's Veterans as a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine. This vital position offers flexible, ongoing engagement, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining your professional independence. As a key provider, you'll perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to the well-being of those who have served.

What You'll Bring:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in Kentucky
• Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Ability to work independently in your own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
• Excellent organizational skills to complete exams, submit reports, and manage follow-up administrative tasks

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations or military-related assessments
• Familiarity with documentation and reporting software used in government healthcare settings
• Additional certifications in related medical specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary or specialty care setting
• Previous experience conducting interview-based assessments and physical examinations in a non-treatment capacity

Other Requirements:

• Own office location within the specified area
• Reliable internet and communication tools for remote support and reporting
• Willingness to complete necessary training and onboarding promptly
• Local candidates only; travel expenses are included in rates
• No travel, certification, or portal training reimbursements are provided before start

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $624.00, with flat rates for half-day ($800) and full-day ($1,600) shifts, plus a one-time $650 bonus for completing initial training and exams. Benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave per applicable laws, and a robust referral bonus program.
