Unit : Telemetry

Number of Beds : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 AM, 1 : 4 PM or 1 : 4AM, 1 : 5PM (with patient care techs)

Type of equipment : BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps

Documentation system : Meditech

Job Requirements

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS : BLS, ACLS

Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills

Management of vasoactive drips

Schedule Information

FT Staff : 36 hours / week with every 3rd weekend rotation

PT staff : 48 hours / week with every 3rd weekend rotation

PRN 1 Staff : 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement

PRN 2 Staff : 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements

Rotating holiday schedule

Unit Specific Information

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 AM, 1 : 4 PM or 1 : 4AM, 1 : 5PM (with patient care techs)

Unit staffing description : Typically, total RN based care with no techs. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources.
