Veterinary Technician Assistant - Surgery Full-time : 4 day, 10 hour shift or 5 day, 8 hour shift with possible on-call  Round Rock, Texas   Heart of Texas is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. About You   Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in preparing and setting up the operating room for surgeries
• Clean and disinfect surgical suites before and after procedures
• Sterilize surgical instruments using an autoclave
• Assist the veterinarian during surgeries by handing off tools and supplies as needed
• Maintain a sterile field and support surgical asepsis standards
• Perform surgery room turnover between cases efficiently and thoroughly
• Handle and restrain animals when necessary (pre- or post-surgery)
• Monitor and replenish surgical supplies as needed
• Follow all clinic protocols and safety procedures
