What You Will Do

We’re seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, Back-End Developer to support our team in designing, rebuilding and optimizing an existing SQL database system. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real data, contribute to meaningful internal tools, and sharpen your full‑stack development skills. This internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your technical skills while working with experienced developers on a business-critical application.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing backend services and APIs
• Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
• Support backend development using Python and / or Java
• Support integration with front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Help build and maintain APIs and server-side logic
• Participate in debugging, testing, and code reviews
• Document database structures, processes, and updates
• Learn best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
