Job Summary : Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of On-Highway Trucks and related equipment. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily : 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions :
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic engine malfunctions and failures with supervision
- Performs basic engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with supervision
- Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines
- Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition, and returns
- Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals / bulletins
- Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Maintains all company equipment, tools, and the vehicle in good, clean, and working order
- Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
- Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
- Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
- Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned

A high school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical schooling preferredMinimum of 3 years of on-highway truck service requiredCDL – Class A or B preferredASE – Medium / Heavy Truck Certification one or more preferredSupervisory Responsibilities :
