Hazen & Sawyer is seeking a Construction Inspector to support the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities and infrastructure. The selected candidate will inform the CM team by observing and reporting on construction activities, effectively coordinating and collaborating with the project team members, and providing documentation and inspection activities for various water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications and work plans to verify contractor complianceConduct on-site observation, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activitiesVerify and track work in accordance with approved shop drawing submittalsObserve contractor performance and compliance with safety requirementsPrepare daily reports, verify material quantities, Time and Material (T&M) records and review contractor pay applicationsMonitor construction contractor’s adherence to project schedule and sequence of activities related to daily field observationsMaintain project redline and as-built drawingsCoordinate and communicate effectively with the CM Project team, multi-discipline engineering teams, contractors and third-party inspection / testing firmsAssist and coordinate with project start-up, testing checkout and training activitiesMaintain construction inspection and testing related documentation as necessaryRequired Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of construction / construction observation experienceFamiliarity with construction methods typical of civil, structural, mechanical and / or electrical engineering workExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, organizational and problem-solving skillsExperience working on and collaborating with multidisciplinary teamsWilling to travel to projects in the local area as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related PC software packages used on construction projects. Microsoft Excel and Procore Construction Management Software will be utilized daily.Experience in municipal water and wastewater or similar industry construction inspection preferredPreferred Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Engineering ScienceConstruction Manager in Training (CMIT - Construction Manager Certification Institute / CMCI) CertificationWhat We Offer :
