Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client adherence to medication schedules.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe travel to appointments or community activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in long-term care, home care, or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques, including CPR certification is a plus.
• Ability to administer medications accurately and understand medication management protocols.
• Strong observational skills to monitor client health status effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
• Familiarity with developing care plans that address individual client needs.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and respect for client dignity.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
