The Claims / Risk Manager's primary duty is to receive and process the day-to-day operations of the claims department. This is an IN-OFFICE opportunity only, located in the SH 288 and Hwy 518 area. 25 Days PTO Medical

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to :
Manage claims adjusters daily workloadTrain incoming claims adjusters on database and handling of claimsContinuously manage and update existing incidents and claims in databaseAssist in administering company liability insurance; read policies and advise on insuranceInteract with external customers (claimants, insurance companies, vendors, auto body shops, car rental companies, law enforcement, law firm reps, etc.)Interact with internal staff (management, store, maintenance, accounting, environmental, legal team, department heads, etc.)Research, prepare and provide reports (for management, store, maintenance, accounting, environmental, legal team, department heads, etc.)Utilize video surveillance softwareAssess claims and apply preventive measures to minimize riskApprise management of escalated riskInterview and record witness statementsDraft, prepare and respond to correspondenceApprove and deny claimsReturn phone calls and emailPreserve video of customer-related matters, including personal injury, carwash, company property damage, customer property damage, environmental, video requests, subpoenas and miscellaneous requests, i.e. food issues, service complaintsPrepare Victim's Statement to collect reimbursement for losses from criminal activityCollect reimbursement for losses from third-party damagesPurge matters that have reached statute of limitationsCreate and maintain formsOffer feedback for placement and upkeep of camera systemCommunicate and update stores regarding claims proceduresField and respond daily to email and telephone inquiries from storesAct as Administrator of Mitratech / LawTracIt is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office / in the employee's assigned work site. No remote work is availableEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodationClaims Adjusters create new database entries from incident and claim reports received daily which includes but not limited to property damage, customer property damage, personal injury, environmental, criminal activity and miscellaneousReview and maintain file on BBB reportsPerform other duties as required and / or assignedDevelop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and proceduresConduct risk assessments, identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigationMonitor and report on risk management activities, performance, and resultsProvide training and support to employees on risk management processes and proceduresThe position requirements include but are not limited to :
Licensed by in each state where Buc-ee's has a store or multiple stores, as Adjuster-All Lines or will be required to obtain the license within 2-4 weeks.Proficient in reviewing / advising company liability insurance policiesMinimum of 5 years of relevant claims experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite, Snagit, Adobe Acrobat, Avigilon Client and PlayerTeamConnect and TAP SoftwareOfficeTrax SoftwareJoining our team puts you on a path where opportunity for advancement is available.
