Overview :
Henry Ford Health, in collaboration with Ascension Medical Group, is seeking a highly qualified, full-time Cardiology Electrophysiologist to join our distinguished Heart Rhythm Institute team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver comprehensive electrophysiology (EP) care in a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment, with access to advanced technology, teaching responsibilities, and significant leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide both outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit and Henry Ford Warren Hospital in Warren, MI.
- Perform complex EP procedures, including the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, and ablation therapies (right- and left-sided).
- Participate in inpatient clinical rounding during call weeks at multiple hospital locations, supported by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Manage a robust patient panel, leveraging strong internal referral networks and existing case volumes.
- Collaborate closely with an experienced team of EP cardiologists, APRNs, cardiovascular surgeons, and support staff to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
- Engage in academic activities within a Level I Trauma Center, including supervising residents and fellows and contributing to educational efforts.
- Travel between practice locations as needed, utilizing hospital facilities equipped with state-of-the-art EP technology.
- Use Cerner EMR system, with a transition to Epic scheduled for late 2025 to early 2026.
- Maintain a commitment to high standards of patient safety, quality, and outcomes.
Qualifications :
MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.Valid medical license to practice in Michigan.ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA certification required.Demonstrated experience in implantable device management and EP procedures.Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m., with shared call coverage (2 : 1 ratio).Compensation & Benefits :
