Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)

Location : Peoria, IL (On-site with travel across assigned facilities)

Job Type : Contract | Full-Time or Part-Time Flexibility

Vendor fee-9%

Salary-$170K-$210K

About the Role

We are seeking a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join a healthcare team providing podiatric care across nursing homes, assisted-living centers, and long-term care facilities. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about improving patient outcomes in senior care settings while maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed assessments of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Provide routine care such as nail trimming, callus removal, and wound management.
  • Diagnose and treat podiatric issues including infections, ulcers, and deformities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
  • Collaborate closely with facility staff and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper foot care and preventive practices.
  • Accurately document care using EMR systems and maintain compliance with state standards.
  • Travel between assigned facilities within Illinois or Florida, depending on assignment.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree with active licensure (or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe).
  • Board Qualified or Board Certified by ABPM or ABFAS .
  • Strong clinical expertise in podiatric assessment, treatment, and wound care.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
