Senior Credit Risk Strategy Analyst

Insight Global is seeking Credit Risk Strategy Analysts to work within our large banking client's Business Banking division. This team is currently rebuilding their Credit Strategy and needs help transforming loan performance data into an expected loss calculation so that they are positive that they're within their risk appetite.

Key responsibilities include :

• Understanding the key drivers of losses and P&L, their relative importance and the current trends; apply this knowledge effectively to forecast losses meaningfully and accurately.
• Analyzing underlying model outputs relative to other business, ensuring that the models provide rational and logical output.
• Reconciling detailed financial data from disparate data sources.
• Assisting in the development of strategic plans.
• Identifying emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
• Researching existing or emerging requirements & related best practices to assist and develop recommendations for changes / enhancements.
• Conducting independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
• Leading and integrating the monitoring, measurement & reporting on the status of the risk decision strategy performance.
• Developing and maintaining risk strategies using analytics, predictive modeling and business rules to optimize decisions and productivity.
• Supporting the planning and execution of the change management process including simulation, validation testing and reporting requirements to evaluate the effectiveness of the new or modified strategies.
• Working with data owners to discover and select available data sources from internal sources and external vendors (e.g. lending system, payment system, external credit rating system) to fulfill analytical needs.
• Working independently and regularly handling non-routine situations.
