Job Title : Utility Pipelayer

Location : Laredo, TX

Project Duration : 2 Months

Schedule : Monday–Friday, with weekend availability as needed (Overtime available)

Position Overview

MEMCO is seeking an experienced Utility Pipelayer to support a 2-month construction project in Laredo, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing underground utilities and must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install and lay underground utility pipes, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
  • Assist with trenching, grading, and backfilling
  • Ensure proper alignment and grade of pipes
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
  • Work closely with equipment operators and labor crews to complete tasks efficiently
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Perform additional labor duties as needed to meet project timelines
  • Work overtime and weekends when required

Requirements

  • Must have a clean background (required by the client)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of pipelaying or underground utility installation experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
  • Must be dependable and able to maintain good attendance
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
