Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to assess, plan, and implement effective speech and language interventions that promote educational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessments & Evaluations : Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine educational eligibility and functioning levels. You'll complete observations, manage annual reviews, and develop compliant IEPs while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Treatment Planning : Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to create and coordinate treatment plans that ensure educational benefits for our students.
- Consultation & Instruction : Collaborate with team members and families to maximize the generalization of target skills. You may also oversee and support Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) in their professional development.
- Data Collection & Documentation : Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, using research-based methods for monitoring and reporting.
- Time Off Management : Enjoy the flexibility of scheduling your time off during school breaks, with requests reviewed by your supervisor to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Licensure : Hold a current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered, or be eligible to obtain such licensure.Certifications : Possess Department of Education certification (if applicable) and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI).Experience : Ideally, have at least one year of experience in speech therapy; clinical fellows or RPE candidates are encouraged to apply.Clearances : Complete DOJ / FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance; must be eligible to work in the US.Skills : Exhibit strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities, with knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.Communication : Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Physical Demands
Environment : Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.Activity : Engage in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.Sensory : Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices, including working in moderate to high noise levels.This job description reflects essential functions and may be adjusted as needed.
