Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician Lead to join the team! This role will be full-time (40 hrs / week) day shift working Monday to Friday from 9 : 30am-6 : 00pm working primarily in Endoscopy but may rotate to other locations on campus.We offer great pay based on experience, plus, don't forget about our other amazing benefits and perks!

Sterile Processing Technicians Lead Job Responsibilities :
The Sterile Processing Tech Lead assembles complex trays and instrumentation accurately and efficiently.Prioritizes instruments and uses critical thinking skills to provide solutions for OR needs.Assumes leadership and supervisory role within the department.Decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.Ensures sterility of all processed items.Maintain instruments and ensure timely distribution to all customers.Manages instrument inventory and ensures timely distribution of instruments to all customers.Trains others to be competent in all areas of sterilization.May perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :
Education : High School diploma, GED or equivalentExperience : Two-year Sterile Processing experience required.Certification CRCST or CBSPD certification from The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the scope processing team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of endoscopic equipment.Implement and maintain strict infection control practices to ensure a safe and sterile environment.Train and mentor team members on proper sterilization techniques and equipment handling.Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate supply for daily operations.Collaborate with other departments, such as Endoscopy and Surgery, to coordinate equipment needs and scheduling.Perform quality control checks on processed equipment to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with sterilization equipment, working closely with maintenance staff.Maintain accurate records and documentation of all sterilization processes and procedures.Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in sterile processing technology.Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in sterile processing is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sterile processing or central supply department, with a focus on endoscopic equipment.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Working knowledge of infection control practices and standards.Ability to operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment.Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.Excellent time management and prioritization skills.Willingness to work flexible hours and rotate shifts as needed.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.About Us
