DevOps Engineer

Our client, a large public sector organization, is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a remote, 12-month contract position . You will support the migration of an enterprise application from its current cloud environment to an on-premise server infrastructure.

Job Description

The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in managing the implementation and configuration of hardware and software environments for various enterprise applications. The role involves gathering and analyzing system requirements, deploying the necessary components, and ensuring optimal configuration for performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure infrastructure components including SQL Server, .NET web applications, and enterprise software packages.
• Troubleshoot and optimize configurations to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
• Investigate application problems and perform root cause analysis with resolution planning.
• Develop and maintain system administration procedures and technical documentation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deployment strategies.
• Conduct proof-of-concept deployments for emerging technologies and make adoption recommendations.
• Manage SSL certificate lifecycle across web farms.

This is a remote position.

Compensation : $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
