Scope : The contractor will assist the Systems Administration team with critical infrastructure upgrades, documentation, and operational support. Tentative start date is May .
Work details :

• Linux Systems Upgrades
• VMWare ESXi host upgrades
• Updated Systems Documentation and Inventory
• Operational duties as assigned

. Skills Required
Key Requirements:

• Experience in deploying Red hat Linux operating system in physical, virtual, and public cloud environments.
• Managing different Red hat Linux version (///) running in VMware environment
• Managing users and groups using SSSD by integrating with Active Directory (AD) environment.
• Managing user authentication through Trusted CA certificates.
• Securing customer environment through regular Linux patching cycles.
• Installing and updating packages through yum and dnf from Redhat repositories.
• Installing various security related packages, Backup and monitoring agent on Red hat servers.
• Analyzing and remediating Linux vulnerabilities based on criticality and exploitability.
• Installing and configuring NFS, Samba, and NAS storage as per requirement.
• Managing file systems using Logical Volume Manager (LVM).
• Installing and managing high availability Red Hat Cluster environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge in automating regular tasks through Ansible playbooks.
• Knowledge in cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure and AWS
• Knowledge in VMware virtualization environments.
• Good understanding in Networking concepts, Database and Backup technologies.
• Git Version Control:
  Proficient in Git command-line interface and Git workflow
  Understanding of Git repository management, branching, and merging
• Scripting:
  Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
• Docker:
  Understanding of Docker containerization and orchestration and experience with Docker image creation, deployment, and management
  Knowledge of Docker networking, volumes, and storage
