General Description

An employee in this classification, under the direct supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Manager, is responsible for routine maintenance. Work is generally performed on day shifts (7 : 00am-3 : 30pm) but may occasionally include evenings, weekends and holidays. Employees in this position are integral to maintaining the beautiful grounds of the City of Rochester Hills while providing a positive experience for Rochester Hills residents and other patrons of the Parks.

Essential Functions

1. Grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, weeding, and digging.

2. Turf maintenance.

Required Minimum Qualifications / Desirable Qualifications

1. At least 18 years of age.

2. Valid Michigan Driver's License with no more than four points currently on record.

3. Acceptable Criminal History.

4. DOT medical card, or ability to obtain within 1 month.

Supplemental Information

Physical Requirements :

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 70 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
