Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and communication. This role involves routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location's needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and / or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as those specific to the government location.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and / or directing visitors as needed.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to promptly address any security-related issues that may arise.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Educational Development is required by the client.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
