Mission Bus Driver

While assigned to the Fort Bragg Pope Army Airfield, the Mission Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers and baggage to locations in and around the Fort Bragg area of operation.

Working Conditions
Drivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment. Drivers are exposed to dirt and fumes, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading the vehicle. Demonstrates professionalism, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Personal Protection Equipment, such as Face mask (covering the nose and mouth), safety shoes (non-skid), vest and eye wear.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to climb stairs and assist passengers with baggage. Must be able to work under timelines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Experience :
Skills : Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Customer service experience preferred. Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Listen to others and ask questions. Understand written information. Problem solve - Notice when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Concentrate and not be distracted while performing a task. Ability to follow guidelines both on post and off post. Know one's location in a physical setting and recognize where other objects are located in relation to oneself. Ability to watch gauges, dials, and output to make sure a machine is working properly. Radio etiquette. Working within a team and independently.
