DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThis employee will oversee the daily operations of the Radiation Therapy Department and act as a liaison between staff, physicians, building occupants, and public. The supervisor is also expected to participate in patient care a minimum of 50 % of the time. A member of the health care team who prepares cancer patients for radiation treatment and administers radiation.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Professional / Educational
Bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- A minimum four (4) years of radiation therapy experience.
- Degree from an approved Radiation Therapy School.
- IEMA licensure.
- ARRT registered or eligible in radiation therapy technology.
- Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
- Desire and ability to cooperate with and / or under the direction of others.
- Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Has the ability to work very closely with all employees, patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital employees.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
