About the Job

Primary Care Services, (PCS) is an established, independent primary care practice. PCS is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for opportunities in office and facility settings in and around Lombard and Glendale Heights, IL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Patient examinations and treatment
• Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic modalities
• Prescribing medication
• Patient and family education
• Hospital rounds
• Patient documentation
• Ability to work well independently and with a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work some weekends and take after-hour calls
• Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned as dictated under the scope of practice

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants required.
• Must possess and maintain licensing as required by Illinois State law for NP/PA.
• Valid CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
• Based on prescriptive authority, active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License are required.
• Prefer a minimum of 1-2 years working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience consummate to the specialty for which the candidate is applying.
