POSITION SUMMARY :

TRIFEX is currently seeking full-time ground lead drivers who are looking to join a team-oriented transportation logistics company. TRIFEX is a transportation company provider that offers asset-based logistics solutions to shippers, freight brokerages and third-party logistics companies in the Dallas-Ft Worth area.

Drivers are responsible for safe and timely handling and delivery of freight from manufacturers to outsourcing operations on their route. Drivers enjoy independence on the road and develop a rewarding and enjoyable career incorporating customer service, road safety and driving skills. Drivers will only operate within a 75-mile radius of Ft Worth; this position does not require drivers to operate Over The Road (OTR).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

• Safe operation of a commercial vehicle in a wide variety of conditions.
• Completion of all assigned delivery and pickup stops for the day.
• Proper usage of hand-held device to record all activity for the day.
• Maintain security of all packages and equipment assigned for the day.
• Will be driving a 26-foot box truck or can utilize their own asset if available.
• Ability to lift, bend, carry and load freight using a Pallet Jack as well as follow directions and turn by turn maps.
• Friendly to customers and team members.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, talk, and / or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include : close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
