Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications, and will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in various settings. This role requires a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools
  • Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects to ensure electrical systems meet design specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute electrical installations accurately
  • Perform regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on both commercial and industrial settings
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment relevant to the trade
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively
  • Previous experience in construction site environments is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
  • Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations
