Sr. RPG programmer

Job Description

We’re hiring a senior developer with deep expertise in RPG to support and evolve mission-critical billing systems on IBM i. This is a highly specialized coding role focused on large batch programs and legacy applications.

What You’ll Do

• Own development across legacy billing applications (≈60% of time) : enhance existing RPG codebases and add new functionality to mature systems.
• Build net-new capabilities (≈30–40% of time) : design and develop new batch programs and supporting components.
• Troubleshoot production and downstream issues (≈10–15% of time) : investigate, debug, and resolve complex batch failures and data issues.
• Analyze & advise : translate business requests into technical solutions; influence and guide partners toward scalable approaches.
• Work autonomously : execute task-oriented work during standard hours; when you’re working, you’re truly working—own deliverables and timelines.
