First Coast Accounting is looking for a dynamic Tax Associate to join our Tax team in Ft Lauderdale.

Tax Associates are responsible for (but not limited to) :

Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings

Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws

Communicating effectively with clients and meeting critical deadlines

Participating actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes :

2 – 4 years’ experience preparing corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary income tax returns in a public accounting firm

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required, with a master’s degree in taxation preferred

Current CPA license or track to passing the CPA exam highly preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products

Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or other tax automation / workflow software preferred

Client service oriented

Team player

Creative problem-solving skills

Independent

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
