Certified Surgery Coder

A company is looking for Outpatient Surgery ProFee Coders for remote full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform multi-specialty outpatient clinic, emergency department, minor procedures, radiology, rehabilitation, and lab coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes

Maintain active coding credentials and adhere to VHA coding guidelines

Utilize coding tools such as E / M calculators and 3M Encoder for accurate coding practices

Required Qualifications

At least two years of relevant coding experience, preferably with VA or government contractors

Active certification as a medical coder from recognized organizations (AHIMA or AAPC)

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding conventions

Familiarity with site-specific coding guidelines and E / M leveling

High School Diploma or equivalent education required
