CT Technologist

Job Description

The CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Additionally, the technologist is responsible for maintaining knowledge in radiation protection and safety. Preparation and administration of contrast media is performed in accordance with hospital policy. The use of critical thinking, professional, and ethical judgment is essential in the quality of care delivered.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging in accordance with established protocols.
• Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
• Prepare and administer contrast media per hospital policy.
• Exhibit critical thinking and ethical judgment in patient care.

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour shift from 0830 to 2100, with a schedule of 3 days per week and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
