The Bartender at The Greenhouse restaurant, located inside The Garden Hotel & Resort, is responsible for mixing and serving a full selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed, accuracy, and professionalism. This role is central to delivering an engaging, high-quality guest experience by maintaining a welcoming bar atmosphere and ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
Provide outstanding guest service by taking orders, engaging with guests, and making drink recommendations
Handle transactions accurately using the POS system (Toast), including cash, credit cards, and room charges
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area, equipment, and glassware in accordance with health and safety standards
Restock bar supplies, garnishes, spirits, and mixers as needed throughout the shift
Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with laws and hotel policies
Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and closing duties
Communicate low stock levels, equipment issues, or guest feedback to management promptly
Promote hotel services, food pairings, and specialty cocktails to enhance the guest experience
Communicate low stock or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
Communicate guest feedback to management
Promote hotel services, daily specials, and café offerings to enhance the guest experience
Must-Have Qualifications
Previous working experience as a bartender, mixologist, or in a food & beverage role
Knowledge of classic cocktails, drink preparation techniques, and responsible alcohol service
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
Basic math skills and POS system familiarity

Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per workday)
Frequent exposure to hot beverages, food items, and kitchen equipment
Exposure to cleaning chemicals
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., supplies, equipment)

Working schedule: Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays is essential, as scheduling will depend on business needs. This position may require evening availability. Adaptability is key in a hospitality environment
