Property Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our client in Studio City, California. In this role, you will manage financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of commercial and retail properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and budget preparation, while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This is a hybrid role 2 days WFH.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review accurate monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
- Create and analyze journal entries, including year-end and recurring entries, to ensure proper financial tracking.
- Handle property tax accruals and prepaid item postings as required.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accounts and accrual adjustments.
- Review and verify invoice documentation and coding to maintain financial accuracy.
- Generate daily cash reports and oversee cash flow monitoring.
- Conduct budget variance analyses to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
- Reconcile monthly bank accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage journal entries for new acquisitions, sales, refinancing, and post-closing transactions.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and review of the chart of accounts for necessary modifications.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Experience with Yardi software is a plus.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Minimum of two years of experience in property accounting or related fields.
